Lil’ Mo Returns
Uh-uh. Don’t dare try to put Lil’ Mo on your whatever-happened-to-such-and-such list. The pint-sized diva who blessed Ja Rule, Fabolous, and Missy Elliott with many a hot hook is now back on her grizzly working on new music.
After brief stints with Cash Money and her own Honey Child label, Mo recently netted a two-album deal with the upstart Global Music Group and is planning her next release for 2009.
Granted, her last couple of albums didn’t produce any notable hits, but we’re still geeked about hearing her new music. Homegirl simply doesn’t play when it comes to songwriting. Go ahead. Check the liner notes of early albums from folks like Ray-J, 702, and Keith Sweat and tell us Cynthia Loving didn’t contribute the lone hot song on them.
In honor of her return, Milk presents this hidden gem from 2003’s Meet The Girl Next Door.
