SNEAK PEEK: Novel Remixes Kanye, Drops Double Mixtapes
You know you’ve got a hit when folks start covering your album just a week after it drops. Producer, songwriter, and overall R&B renaissance man Novel’s debut isn’t due until March, but he’s already getting major buzz from a pair of mixtapes, including one inspired by hip-hop’s Louis Vuitton Don.
Novel’s 808’s & Mixtapes features Joell Ortiz, Adelle, and Ced Houston, while the 5-song digital EP I Am…Future Black President has collabos with Talib Kweli and Spree Wilson and even a version of “Sista” from The Color Purple.
Listen to I Am… below and let me know what you think. “Wild West” is already one of my favorites.
