Jill Scott 6 Months Pregnant
Jill Scott, Lil John, and now baby makes three. The singer and actress recently revealed that she and her drummer fiancee are expecting their first child in April.
The couple managed to keep the good news quiet for some time until Jill confirmed it while promoting the upcoming HBO series “The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency” at the Television Critics Association conference.
In the series, Jill plays the lead role of Precious Ramotswe, an African woman who becomes her country’s first female detective. And filming on location during the early stages of pregnancy was no easy feat…
She told reporters, “The first trimester I spent in Botswana. That was one of the biggest challenges of my life. First trimester! You’re sick every morning. It was seven hours time difference, the heat, the bugs, the 14 hour days.”
Jill and Lil John first announced their engagement during the singer’s 2008 performance at New York’s Carnegie Hall.
