Stephanie Mills Wanted to Marry Michael Jackson
During an appearance on the Mutha Knows show on Blog Talk Radio, Stephanie Mills revealed that she once had a very big crush on Michael Jackson.
“I thought I was gonna marry Michael. I was so in love with Michael. This was during the time when he was doing The Wiz movie and before that,” Stephanie said. “I knew Michael because he used to come to the show all the time and hang out backstage with me. Michael was really, really shy. But back then, I was aggressive. I was determined I was gonna be his girlfriend. He didn’t know, but I was.”
“When he had his place on Sutton Place [in Manhattan], I would spend the night and I would do his laundry. It was Tide. I should do a Tide commercial, huh? And I even cooked for him – even though I couldn’t cook. But you know what? Even as bad as it was, Michael was such a gentleman, he still ate it.”

Michael and Stephanie I beleived remained friends. And from the picture they took in 91, where she is cheesing up a storm, she still had love for MJJ. It’s sad that he didn’t find true love in his life, or his true love slipped away, because of his inner drama. It was nice that she talked about him in such a positive light. If Michael would have kept real people around him, and not hanger-ons and leeches, he probably would have been happier.

They would’ve make a cute couple, she should have pushed further so he can marry her. lol I really wish Michael had a normal (romantic) relationship with women; maybe he wouldn’t been in this crazy drama throughout the years leading up to his death.

I totally agree with you! If Michael only had people who had his best interest at heart, then he would be alive today! Michael & Stephanie should have tried harder to make things work! I think they would have been great together! I believe that is why she has been married 3 times. I believe that she had never gotten over Michael! I miss this man sooooo much! RIP, Michael Joseph Jackson!

I think they would have made a great couple.They look so cute together i agree if he kept real people around his life wuld have been better.m 17 yrs. old and i was and well always be a huge MICHAEL JOESPH JACKSON fan, some older people say” what do u possible kno about michael” and quickly name his songs, The Ed sullivin show,THE JACKSON5IVE CARTOON SHOW,GOIN BACK TO INDIANA,AND TH JACKSON 5 SHOW.EVEN NAMED TOURS and MOTOWN 25.EVEN THE ONES WHO TALKED BAD ABOUT HIM, I WOULD QUICKLY JUMP TO HIS DEFENSE.HE WAS MY AMERICAN IDOL THE REASON WHY I SING. I often said that if MJ had a REAL relationship with a woman that truly loved him, besides the glitter and gold, there would have been less drama in his life. Every good man needs a GOOD woman that can help him doing good times and bad, be there for him, love him and be his friend. I think Stephanie Mills could have been that woman, or of course myself
who loved Michael since the first time I laid eyes on him on tv when he was around 10 or 11 yrs. old. It was something in his eyes that was genuine, honest and pure. And yes, I saw that as a child which is why I did then and will always love Michael Jackson.

And you know what the funny part is about all of this, Stephaine Mills loved Michael, was seriously in love with him like this guy is gonna be my husband and then he up and left.
Now after Stephaine he had Brooke or Diana , one of them inbetween there and never really had a steady until Lisa Marie but the saddest thing is Stephaine because she ended up with Jeffrey Daniel , from Shalamar DAMN!!! WHO LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE MICHAEL back in the day even down to the dancing and he use to hit her. Stephaine really went out there and got a guy who looked like Michael , that’s how in love she was with him.

That is beautiful and bittersweet at the same time. We don’t always see what is right in front of us until it’s too late. Stephanie knew…Women often or yet many times do. She knew that she was the one to turn Michael’s world around. That had to been fun, the two of them doing laundry, her fixing those meals no matter how bad the food was (lol). But the fun they must’ve had during those times of growing. I wished Michael opened his eyes and saw what was right in front of him. He would’ve been still alive today. All that glitters ain’t gold. What good is it to gain the world and yet lose your soul? Our brother surely paid the ultimate cost by shutting off his family, true friends and loved ones to be surrounded by death(evil people). I salute Stephanie Mills for sharing this wonderful story, and hopes that she continue on the path of happiness that she truly deserves. And a salute to brother Michael, we love you and truly miss you. Thank you for a lifetime of music and joy. Peace!

This picture of Michael Jackson and Stephanie mills is too cute! They are so lovely together and I wish he would have married her instead of all those other fake ass women he messed with in the pass. See all Mike needed was him a strong black woman and I truly believe that that woman was Miss Stephanie Mills.We miss you Mike always and im quite sure Stephanie Mills does too.
