Krispy of The Knux: “I Was a C.O. and Proud”

The Knux

During our recent interview with hip-hop duo The Knux, the brothers spoke about everything from growing up in New Orleans to reaching out to the youth through community service. And when the subject turned to the recent controversy surrounding Rick Ross’ rumored past as a correctional officer and the “reality” of hip-hop, we found out that “The Boss” isn’t the only one who used to work for the law.

“I used to be a C.O. and I’m proud of it. And I had court cases and shit,” Krispy told Milk Magazine. (more…)

QUOTE ME: Rick Ross Finally Stops Lying

Tuesday, October 7th, 2008

Rick RossWell, well, well. Look who finally owned up to Don Diva Magazine about his past life as a corrections officer. Isn’t it funny that “The Boss” could be completely open about all the supposed white he was pushing, but refused to talk about the legitimate job he held?

What a sad time for hip-hop that making money legally is frowned upon. Then again, that is only in the realm of fake rappers. Those with actual talent don’t care if you know they used to sling fries or sell insurance.

Dude first lost me a couple years ago when he claimed to have no idea who the real “Freeway” Ricky Ross was. Uh, you have his name and his trademark beard, but you never heard of him? Riiiiight.

See what Rick Ross had to say about being a C.O. for yourself. (more…)

J-Hood Has Nothing Else To Do

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

Normally, I would not post such idiocy but I’m still in disbelief that this type of content still exists. I hope this fool is reading his YouTube comments, so he can see how many people are clowning him. Please let Barack get elected so our boys can aspire to something else in life.

Warning: the following video is a complete waste of seven minutes.

Are You Serious?!

Monday, September 15th, 2008

Tell me “Wassup Wit Da Cookies” is not a real song title. Tell me the artist’s name is not Juney Boom Data.

Ay Dios Mio…it is.

And in less than 4 minutes, the song does exactly what you think one with that title would — coon up and down your nerves. This can’t be hip-hop, people.

Normally, I would post the audio for you to listen to. But, I just can’t bring myself to sully the Milk name with even a link to such trash. You’ll just have to Google it for yourself.

Dumb Rappers Need Teachin’

Lil' Wayne on the cover of XXL Magazine

“My bitches do whatever I say do, and my goons shoot whoever I say shoot.”
Lil’ Wayne, XXL (October 2008)

But when said goons actually do shoot someone on your behalf, you’ll
be the first one to pull a C-Murder and/or Remy and claim what you
say in songs (and interviews) has nothing to do with the God-fearing
and loving father and son you really are.

When will these rappers learn to put their personas on hold long enough to stop incriminating themselves?
