Cam'Ron Crime Pays album coverCam’Ron debuts in the #3 spot this week with his comeback disc Crime Pays. After surprising everyone with her #1 debut last week, Chrisette Michele’s Epiphany slips to #8 with 113,000 units sold to date.  Rick Ross follows with over 270,000 sold of Deeper Than Rap, and Ciara’s Fantasy Ride rounds out the Top 10 with 107,000.

Unfortunately, all the positive press hasn’t helped Asher Roth at the cash registers. After over a month in stores, his Asleep in the Bread Aisle has only moved 112,000 copies. Here’s a random sampling of how everyone else is doing: (more…)

T.I.T.I.’s Paper Trail is holding strong as the #3 album in the country. With over 971,000 units sold so far, it looks like Tip will have another platinum plaque for his mantel in no time. Mary Mary debuts at #7 with The Sound, while Jennifer Hudson saw a boost in sales for her self-titled release, bringing her grand total to 355,000. Shouts to Wale

At 22 years-old, Washington, D.C. emcee Wale is one of the most interesting artists to listen to right now. Don’t let folks tell you there’s no more good hip-hop. It’s here; you just gotta look for it.

Check how he and Nick Catchdubs looped the Seinfeld theme into ”The Opening Title Sequence” off The Mixtape About Nothing.
