At first, I thought Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey’s relationship was a pure sham concocted either a) during an unfortunate drunken weekend in Vegas, or b) as a publicity scheme dreamed up to boost their careers. (Translation: his career since Mimi could make the phone book go platinum.)

But could their marriage be real, like actually based on love, respect, and trust? It must be to cause dude to contantly snap on folks through his blog. Our boy Nick has been on a straight nobody-bet-not-say-nothin-bout-my-wife mission lately.

In a year of albums from big names like Beyonce, Kanye, 50, and the comebacks of Eminem, Brandy, and Maxwell,  I never would’ve thought that Ryan Leslie’s would be one to look forward to.

But if he keeps dropping bangers like this new joint featuring Jadakiss, that February release date can’t come soon enough.

A little hip-hop, gospel, and some of…everything else. That’s what fans will get with new albums coming soon from Eminem, Coko of SWV fame, and Andre 3000.

After months of rumors, Interscope has confirmed that a new Slim Shady disc is due by the end of this year. There are no details on a release date or the first single yet.

Coko is also in the studio working on her next gospel album which is scheduled for a spring ‘09 release. In the meantime, Coko Christmas drops October 14 featuring classics from the SWV days, plus some of her newer holiday-inspired tracks from 2007’s Grateful. (more…)
