Who’d have thunk it? On the strength of “There Goes My Baby,” Charlie Wilson saw his latest offering enter the charts at number two just behind country sensation Taylor Swift and selling over 58,000 copies. Go ‘head Uncle Charlie! Beyonce, Jamie Foxx and India Arie also hold strong in the Top 10 at the number five, six and seven spots respectively. Despite mixed reviews from fans and critics alike, Beyonce and Kanye West still managed to eek out platinum certifications for their latest CD’s. I Am…Sasha Fierce is the top R&B album for the week with over 1.6 million sold, while 808’s & Hearbreak comes in just under 1.2 million. Here’s a random sampling of how everyone else is doing:

Like most new artists, R&B singer LeMarvin Harris has been through his share of major label ups and downs.

In just five years, the California native and Navy veteran saw deals with Tracey Edmunds and Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis both fall through. Luckily, he bounced back in ‘07 as one of the first signees on the Brookland/Universal Republic imprint and will finally release his debut Confusion in the spring.
