During our recent interview with hip-hop duo The Knux, the brothers spoke about everything from growing up in New Orleans to reaching out to the youth through community service. And when the subject turned to the recent controversy surrounding Rick Ross’ rumored past as a correctional officer and the “reality” of hip-hop, we found out that “The Boss” isn’t the only one who used to work for the law.

“I used to be a C.O. and I’m proud of it. And I had court cases and shit,” Krispy told Milk Magazine. (more…)

The Knux Work on New Music and Plan Tour with “A Legend”

The KnuxPacked with an eclectic mix of lyrical wit, old-school fun, and party-like-a-rock-star beats, The Knux’s debut album Remind Me in 3 Days… is a must listen for anyone looking for something outside of today’s norm. (Think The Pharcyde meets De La Soul and Outkast.) 

But, that’s us telling you, not The Knux themselves.

VIDEO: The Knux “Bang Bang”

If the Lindsey brothers, a.k.a. The Knux, don’t sell when their album drops it will not be because of poor promotion.

The New Orleans hip-hop duo has been featured everywhere from Vibe and XXL to Spin and YRB, and after getting an early listen to their upcoming CD Remind Me in Three Days…, I see why. Their sound, and video for “Bang Bang,” is definitely unlike anything else out there. Make sure you watch all the way to the end.
