It seems controversy surrounds ODB even in death. Over four years since his passing, the erratic rapper’s family is still embroiled in legal battles over his estate.

Milk received a statement from his mother, Cherry Jones, addressing his widow Icelene and his unreleased music. In the letter, Mrs. Jones also asks fans to boycott an upcoming biography which she says is unauthorized.

Oh, why all the drama? As ODB once said, “Wu-Tang is for the churrin!” Here’s an excerpt, typos and all:

There’s a new documentary on Wu-Tang Clan that has a lot of film critics buzzing. Entitled Wu: The Story of The Wu-Tang Clan, the movie covers the rise of Shaolin’s finest and features archival footage and exclusive interviews with the group. It was named Best Documentary at the Hip Hop Odyssey Film Festival in 2007 and received similar accolades during showings at the London Black Film Festival and the American Black Film Festival.
